This Week in My Screenshots Folder
What I'm eyeing and buying from my screenshot folder this week.
Hi! And welcome to my new substack!! I wanted to share more of the behind the scenes of what make my world go round & what makes my brain buzz- how I’m styling, what I’m buying/ eyeing, and the stories behind many of the things people see on TMD today.
I thought I’d start our first Substack with a peak into my screenshot folder. My screenshot folder is one of my favorite places in my phone and truly the place I go for inspiration, a new obsession, and my next purchase. Amidst a bunch of random things, here are my favorite screenshots of the week:
I’m obsessed with stripes, but I have always struggled with how to incorporate them into my home. I just purchased this tissue box cover from Alice Palmer Co. A) to cover up the ugly tissue boxes my boyfriend insists on buying and B) its the perfect striped object to add to your home if you’re too scared to take the plunge on something bigger… like me! Some cheaper alternatives to the same type of tissue box cover: Etsy/ Amazon/Etsy
The second I saw these Bottega Vaneta Lapis earrings I ran to see if they were still available. The gold + lapis combination is art to me. As its my birthday month, these are high on my list, but have yet to take the plunge on actually purchasing.
Grabbed coffee with a very chic friend of mine who was wearing this Jolie bag by W 78th St and I immediately thought it was The Row. To my surprise it was not, and its much more affordable too. The maroon color is sold out but I grabbed the black…laptop friendly too.
When I tell you I have not stopped thinking about this Citrine ring from Starling since I saw it… high up on the birthday wishlist this month. For those who are married, my friend mentioned its a great travel engagement ring to invest in as well. Trying on Tuesday so will report back :)
One of my favorite chic little objects I recently acquired is this Sophie Bille Brahe velvet jewelry box. They make wonderful gifts and its such a special addition to my vanity where I keep my jewelry. Eyeing the deep royal purple color next before it sells out.
I’ve been trying to re-vamp my daily makeup brushes and I’m almost there. I stumbled across this Jones Road everything brush and immediately purchased. It’s chic, and I love that it can be used for everything on the face versus buying a pricey brush that only has one use on your face. Other favorite chic makeup brushes I recently invested in are the La Bouche Rouge brushes.
Sustainability, affordability, and good design- an equation I’m immediately intrigued by.. Instagram served me an ad for this brand called Completed Works and I have been eyeing their creations ever since. If I was a bride, especially one on a budget, I would look to them! Love these drop earrings and these remind me of Sophie Bille Brahe creations which are a LOT pricier.
That’s it for this week!! Can’t wait to continue diving in with all of you!
Xx, Julia
Loove the W 78th bag!!
