I get asked where I source vintage from probably daily. I’ve been buying and selling on the Vestiaire Collective for years- both personally and for TMD. On the selling side- Vestiaire is the best platform to sell on because you are in charge of setting your price and you get to keep 100% of the money you make since there are no selling fees in the US. For buying- I have found some of my best archival pieces on the app- both for TMD and my personal closet.
With my recent Carolyn Bessette Kennedy drop, I wanted to further incorporate my vintage interpretation of the outfits that went along with many of the iconic shoes CBK wore. When I personally was looking to emulate some of CBK’s famous outfits, Vestiaire was the first and only place I went.
As I found some incredible pieces from this exercise (some of which she actually wore), I wanted to share them with all of you as well. I learned a lot about what it means to have a staple wardrobe- after all CBK was a master at that. She didn’t have a ton, but the pieces she did have stood the test of time.
I am honored to be sharing this Substack in partnership with Vestiaire- they are truly one of my favorites who maintain much of the ethos I do- they love a circular fashion economy, compensating their sellers fairly, and the power of a good vintage find for a steal.
Enjoy the following finds available to shop on Vestiaire all inspired by CBK’s famous looks. My Vestiaire favorites will live here forever (and down below) which I’ll continuously add to. I got us a voucher code as well- TMD20 for 20% off your order! Let me know what you snag.
